Hi,
I am looking to trace the ancestors of my grandmother, Bertha Steiner born 1860 in Slanitz Slovakia. As far as I can tell from comparing a detailed modern map of Slovakia with a pre-Trianon map of Arva
megye, this town now appears to be underwater in the Orava reservoir!
I am planning to visit the region later this year and would like to visit any archive that may hold records of the Steiner family. Any assistance would be appreciated
