Deaths during ships' voyages #general
Trudy Greener
A friend just told me that she understood that her grandmother died during the voyage from Europe to the US and that she was buried at sea. So first question is, how was this looked upon in Judaism? And second, how would this be recorded in the ship's records - would it be a separate document or be listed next to her husband?

ans searched on the terms: "Died at Sea" and "Died on Board" and found a number of examples. Going to the ship manifests on Ancestry.com I saw how this was usually dealt with. David Rosen Boston, MA
