Identifying name of town #belarus #names #translation

I am trying to confirm the birth town of my grandmother, Rose (nee Krugloff) Mofshowitz.
The name shown in her Petition for Naturalization is not clear. It looks like Diristizin or  Biristizin.
Could it e Derechin in Belarus?

Here is the name:

i've attached the entire petition in case that helps with interpreting the typography.

It was said that she came from Minsk. I don't find any evidence of the names Krugloff or Gorodjansky (her mother's maiden name) in Derechin sources on-line. I've been unable to find her on a ship manifest(which would be another source of her origin).

Thanks,
Howard Morr9is

Howard,

Post-1906 naturalization papers usually contain the spouse's place of birth.  Did Rose's husband naturalize?  If so, his nat papers may give you a better spelling of the town of birth of Rose.

Good luck in your search,

Sherri Bobish

Howard,
Taking a look for the passenger manifest, I found one that warrants consideration. There was a Ruchel Kruglansky who arrived on the Kursk on Nov 21, 1911 from the Port of Libau. She was a tailoress of the right age to be Rose. Closest relative was Father, Moische Kruglansky in Pirjani, Poltowa Gubernia, same place of birth listed for Ruchel.  Listed as going to see cousin B. Chaimowitz in Brooklyn, but note that she was detained and ultimately went to see Belle Chaimowitz in Cleveland?. I have not looked for the location of Pirjani yet and whether the other town could be nearby. It might possibly be Droszdosin or Droszdzyn?

Howard,
My apologies, I mistranscribed the town name in my response. It is Pirjatin, which I believe is Pyryatin/Piryatin in now Ukraine. Do you have any other record that places Rose in Belarus?  Note also on the manifest line 16 and 17, Meyer and Shena Agranowicz from the same place going to see BIL Chaimowitz -- could be further clues. I see on Rose's headstone her father is listed as Mosche. Still looking for a town name that could be a match for the naturalization record.

Lee, nice detective work. Thanks.  I suppose  the name Kruglansky could have been changed to Krugloff?  .
I've  now looked on the JewishGen resources  for towns near Pirjatin that might match  the partially illegible "d" or "b"  town in the naturalization papers, but couldn't find any suspects.
"Derechn" in Belarus is a possible reading in the naturalization papers, and that is consistent with my family's belief that she came from Belarus and maybe Minsk there. But this is inconsistent with the evidence of Pirjatin,Ukraine per the ship manifest. I suppose she could have been born in one place and moved to another place, and used both place names.
