January 27, 2023 is International Holocaust Memorial Day. It commemorates “the six million Jews who were systematically and savagely murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators during the Holocaust — and to grieve the Roma and Sinti, Slavs, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and political dissidents who were also killed.” This link is the statement from US president, Joe Biden:

International Holocaust Remembrance Day remembers the victims of the Holocaust and “highlights the humanity of the Holocaust victims and survivors, who had their home and sense of belonging ripped from them by the perpetrators of the Holocaust,” per the United Nations. https://media.un.org/en/asset/k1j/k1jjl8fwc5
