The last I heard about Batya was that she was very ill. I hope that she has

recovered by now. However, I do not think that she is the answer to your question. I think that you should contact the Ashkenazi Chevra Kadisha in Jerusalem - Phone +972-2-538-4144 Louis Zetler President of the Galilee Genealogical Society

Batya has recovered >from her illness.
A message was sent to Jewishgenners in February by Sallyann Sack [Editor of Avotaynu] on behalf of Batya - thanking everyone for their cards and best wishes. I have been in touch with Batya several times since then, via email, and she was "at her desk", working her miracles of discovery. The widow of my uncle, estranged >from the family, was last seen by the
family at his funeral in NY about 1952. She was born about 1890. I have checked the SSDI-she's not there; her plot at the cemetary is unused; no trace. But a rumor many years ago was that she moved to Israel and died there OR died here and the body was shipped to Israel for burial. She was a extremely religious women. They had no children. Any suggestions as to how I might check this further in Israel? Thank you.
