The Jewish Genealogy Society of Long Island is delighted to invite you to our next meeting.

Meet our panelist:

·         Marilyn Gotkin is a Mishpocha Maven for JGLSI ad has helped many members with their genealogical research.

·         Caitlin Hollander is a professional genealogist, specializing in Ashkenazi Jewish genealogy in both the United States and Europe. 

·         Rhoda Miller, Ed.D; CG has been a Certified Genealogist since 1998, board member of LitvakSIG and was on the Eastern European team for Ancestry ProGenealogists.

·         Gary Pokrassa is the Data Acquisition Director of JewishGen's Ukraine Research Division and a Director of JRI-Poland.

·         Renee Steinig -- member of Association of Professional Genealogists, a director of Gesher Galicia and a Town Leader for JRI-Poland.

·         Chuck Weinstein is the Town Director for Ukraine Research Division of JewishGen.

Our panel of experts were given 10 questions from members similar to above items.  They will attempt to knock down the brick walls to uncover new information. The panel will review the research steps undertaken and provide suggestions on how to take your research further.

Looking ahead, our next meeting will be on Sunday, June 26 at 2pm featuring Alex Denisenko.  Alex is a tour guide and genealogist from Lviv, Ukraine.  He will be telling us stories about South-Eastern Ukraine, past, present, and future.
