LitvakSIG "Power Up Your Research" session #lithuania
LitvakSIG is sponsoring a series of Zoom sessions on how to power up your Litvak research.
The next session will be held on Sunday, February 19. Its title is "Power Up Your LitvakSIG Research: Using Excel Spreadsheets".
Many of you are familiar with LitvakSIG's All Lithuania Database. Qualified contributors to one of our District Research Groups gain access for five years to spreadsheets for their district that have been compiled by volunteers and paid researchers. This session shows you advanced techniques for analyzing data in the spreadsheets that go beyond the online database search interface capabilities. Specific examples show how these analysis techniques helped me make some remarkable discoveries about a branch of my family from Lithuania, out of the reach of even the professional archivists in Vilnius.
