Looking for Benjamin LEVIN, who died in Johannesburg in 1939 and his brother #southafrica

oodrual@...

The Benjamin I refer to was a son of Jacob LEVIN of London(Islington) who lived in Cape Town in the eighteensixties/seventies. He was a cape merchant. When he returned to England his sons Julius LEVIN and Benjamin LEVIN remained in Cape Town and continued the S.A. branch of Levin & Sons, later Levin Bros. at Plein Street, Cape Town.
I am trying to find out more about my ggm Clara LEVIN, niece/respectively cousin of  the above mentioned.
Thanks and regards,

Peter - have you tried searching the South African National Archives online catalogue in the first instance for your family names? You can also use other search parameters, such as address. Try:  link: http://www.national.archsrch.gov.za/sm300cv/smws/sm300dl
