Farha SAYEGH daughter of Moshe died in London in 1977 and buried under this name. She was born in 1903 most probably in Baghdad. She had a married
daughter who was probably born in the 1930s.
Here is the twist. Unlike in the Western Hemisphere, women in the Arab world kept their maiden surnames through life and death. So she was probably known
in London by her husband's surname. There was no obituary in the Jewish Chronicle. I am trying to check with the burial society but if someone in this forum is
close to the Baghdadi community in London he might have known her and her married daughter. Thanks.
