This is to let you know about an upcoming almost all-day event to take place in Nowy Targ, Poland, on 30 August 2022, 80 years after the annihilation of the Jewish community of Nowy Targ, Poland.  Organizers include Karolina Panz and Dariusz Popiela.  The latter an Olympic athlete who became involved in the restoration of Poland's Jewish heritage.  This is an article about him:  is https://notesfrompoland.com/2019/11/08/repairing-the-world-the-olympic-athlete-restoring-polands-jewish-heritage/

Among the activities, will be a reading of the almost 3,000 names of the victims.  A new memorial has also been prepared in the cemetery.
