My lost uncle #israel

Tafuri, Diane

Searching to see if anyone knows of an Albert Hakim, who would’ve escaped from Salonica Greece, during the war, and emmigrated to Israel. He would have been about 40 years old, he had a motorcycle, and he was deaf. There is a record of someone with that name going through Turkey on his way to Israel Between 1943 and 1945.  He was my mother’s brother and I would like to know if he made it there and if I have relatives in Israel. I am not sure whether he was sent to Auschwitz with his parents or if he escaped and made it to Israel.
If anyone knows anything about him, please call me.

Dear Sarah

I am not sure if Albert Hakim made it to Israel so I don't know where he would have lived.  My search is to find out if he actually made it to Israel or if he died with his parents (Aaron & Dadoun Hakim)  in Auschwitz.  If you know of any where else that I can research this, please let me know.  I do have a picture of him if that helps.   You can reach me at 513-602-6610.

Warm Regards,

Diane

Diane,

This is an INTERNATIONAL forum so, without knowing which country you're in, your telephone number is useless to those living abroad from you. We don't know which international dialling code to use for your country.

Diane, I see you are listed as a researcher on Jewishgen so you are not completely new to research. Providing DOB, names of relatives, place of birth etc would make it easier for others to assist.

Have you tried the other researchers listed who specify Israel in their research profile?

I searched the Arolsen archives for holocaust victims and could not find any of the names you have mentioned.
