In the 1700’s 3 brothers from Nussdorf, near Vienna, left Nussdorf. One went to Galicia; one went to Hungary and one went to near Berlin.  My husband is related to the Nussdorfs who went to Galacia.  I am looking for any Jewish Nussdorfs who are from the brother who went to Hungary and/or the brother who went to the area near Berlin.  Thanks.  Barbara Hacker Berman

Hi Barbara,
Should we assume you have checked JewishGen's All Hungary Database?  There are a few NUSZDORF names there, mostly from Galicia, but also a few in Putnok, Hungary.
Do you have access to MACSE?  There are 3 NUSSDORF listings there.  One for Sara, daughter of Tillie NUSSDORF, who married Chaim ROSENBERG, one for their daughter Sarolta who married Rezso TOLMAR, and one for their daughter Regina (birth record).  Henrik STORCH is mentioned on all of these records.
Have you considered checking NUS[S]DORFER or NUSZDORFER?  There are about 30 records for these surnames on MACSE, but they all seem to be Roman Catholic.  Still, perhaps the family converted....???
There are also a few Jewish NUSSDORF records on the GenTeam (Vienna records) site.  Did some family stay in the area?
     Best,

                   Judy Petersen
