I am going to continue to do cemetery visits as long as the weather holds out in New York.
I am offering photos from Mt Zion, in Maspeth, Queens.
Please send me the specific names, dates and location of the grave. You can research people on the cemetery website.
Mt Zion is one of the largest cemeteries in the area and while most of it is very well laid out some plots are difficult. I am not sure if the office is open to the public as well and some cases the only way to find people is with a map from the office.
Please no generic requests saying that I think someone s buried there or sending me around the cemetery to find everyone with a specific name in hopes it is your family member. FamilySearch transcribed a lot of the death certificates and they show what cemetery someone is buried in.
My process is I group and sort the requests based on location, time, weather and how far I can get in a day.
I appreciate but do not require a few dollars in return to help offset the cost of doing this for everyone. Unfortunately the expense of doing this week after week, plus having to invest in a new camera, adds up.
As always feel free to ask questions as well on email. Please reply directly to me and not the entire list.
