Old lineages (don Vino = Weinstock) #hungary

Moishe Miller

I have a similar story in my family. I was told my late grandmother's family was originally known as "don Vino" and where wine merchants in Spain. At the time of the inquisition, they relocated to the Tokaj-area of Hungary and changed adopted the surname of Weinstock. My paper trail takes me back to the late 1700's in Hungary. Ancestry confirms I have 1% Spanish ethnicity.

I wish there was a way to learn more about that part of my heritage.

Hi Moishe

Have you looked into hiring researchers in Hungary or even Spain?
Local experts might be able to get deeper into it.
