Researching my spouse's Papier immigrant family from Brest Litovsk and their ancestry. I am seeking to discover earlier generations and insight into their lives prior to immigration.  The Immigrants were Morris Harry Papier (born Brest December 1888 died November 1957, Scranton, Pennsylvania) and his parents Abraham Papier (born Russia 1855 died 1925 Kings County New York) and Ida Macha Ardess/Atis (born 1855 Russia died 1925  New York City). Abraham was the son of Morris Papier, born about 1825.  Obviously, most if not all of these names are anglicized to some degree.  Morris Harry Papier's birth place is written on his WWII draft card.  Morris had a brother Barnett and a sister Rachel/Rachael.  Immigration the the United States appears to have been between 1897-1899. If anyone has information relating to the Papier family or similar last names here in the US or in Belarus, the Baltic states or eastern Poland  or has research insights to Jewish genealogy in Brest,  I would welcome your help!
