Records? Ancestor moved from Boston to Tel Aviv in 1920s. #israel

Ryan Cramer

Oral history in my family indicated that my 2nd great-grandfather (Abraham Kaslick) emigrated from Boston, Massachusetts to Tel Aviv, Israel in the 1920s.  However I cannot find any records to validate this; I would love to find a ship manifest, census records, or even cemetery records from Israel to continue my search.  Abraham was born May 1858 in Odessa, Russia.  I've found USA census records of he and his family for 1900 through 1920 but I'm at a loss from there (Example:  https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M2KN-4TY).  If anyone has any recommendations as to next steps of finding more proof of emigration to Israel, death, etc., it would be much appreciated!

Search for his obituary in the Jewish newspaper for the town in the USA where he lived - I found one for a relative who also had emigrated to Israel.
I also found him in 'US Passport Applications', and  "Reports of Deaths of US Citizens Abroad' -- both of those collections on Ancestry, but ? might also be available via familysearch.

The Israel State Archives (https://www.archives.gov.il/en) has arrival records of the Immigration Department of the Palestine Zionist Executive. These are in Hebrew and arranged by month and year but aren't searchable by name. For example, the 1923 records for ships arriving at Jaffa and Haifa are at

Thanks Alan.
How early do these arrival records of the Immigration Department of the Palestine Zionist Executive start? What's the earliest date available?
Thanks.

To the original poster:

It may help to know that the last time Abraham Kaslick appears in the Boston city directories is 1924.

That may be of some help when searching arrival records of the Immigration Department of the Palestine Zionist Executive, mentioned by Alan.

I think the info for the city directories was collected the year previous to the date of the publishing (can anyone confirm that, or have better knowledge?)  If so, than Abraham may have left Boston in 1923.

I located a September 1928 list of donors to the Home for the Aged in Boston.   Abraham Kaslick is on the list.
