Searching for Abraham Kowenski in Mir #belarus #records

Yehuda Rubin

My records show that my second great grandfather, Abraham (Avraham Yaakov Alter) Kowenski died in 1936 in Mir, Belarus. (I had submitted him as a Holocaust victim to Yad Vashem several years ago, when I had incorrect information. I will ask Yad Vashem to remove him once I have proof that he wasn’t a victim.)
I am trying to find his vital record/s in order that I can find the names of his parents. I haven’t been able to find any library or archive that has Mir Jewish vital records.
Does anyone know of any archives in the United States which carry such records? Would Mir records possibly appear in records of Grodno or Minsk?
Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.
