searching for relative who was an officer in the Soviet army #russia

Genners,

My grandmother had a brother, Boris Yudin, who was an officer in the Soviet army,  I'm assuming during the 1930s and into World War II.  I'd appreciate suggestions as to how I could learn about his service.  He was born in Kyiv between 1900 - 1910.

Thanks.

I had some luck finding records of soldiers/officers in Yad Vashem. Also, try this website: www.https://www.jewmil.com.
has been helpful. It's in Russian, but if you have Google Translate, it's easy to use.

Since there are many Boris Yudins on the site Marilyn Robinson mentioned, https://obd-memorial.ru/html/   , and on another site with military records, https://pamyat-naroda.ru, it would help to enter Boris' father's name and other information you may have, such as birth year and birthplace. If you use Google Chrome, you can see the results of the search in English, but you must enter the data in Russian. There's a typo in the address Donna Moss gave - it should be https://www.jewmil.com, but they don't have any Yudin listings.
