TOM, b. 1910-1914 #usa
Strange question flimsy data:
In the mid 1930s my mother met a distant cousin of hers by the name of Tom, didn't know his family name, who was visiting his grandmother , Sara, ( also her married name unknown) who lived on coney island, nyc. According to my late mother's autobiography, Tom seems to have cut short his visit, to go to Boston where he was going to college. He may also have lived in the Boston area.
There is a good chance that Tom's father was not Jewish. That seems to be the reason that my grandparents and Sara arranged for Tom to cut short his visit on NYC, so that he and my religious mother, then single, would not get "involved" one with the other.
The above Sarah was my great grandfather (Mayer ABRAMOWITZ)'s sister.
Does the above story about Tom or his family sound familiar to anyone ?
