My grandfather, Jacob Ingeroff, pictured in the attached photo, in the dark uniform, was said to be a member of the Czar's Royal Guard.
I would like to know if anyone knows if the pictured uniforms are authentic and of what rank?
Other observers of this photo have said the uniforms are theatrical props used in the photography studio.
Which version is correct or is there another answer?
