Where does the surname FUIT originate from? #names
Rose
Dear Group
I was wondering if anyone knows where the surname FUIT originated from? I have a friend with the maiden name of FUIT who was born in Holland but thinks the name may be French.
Best wishes

This does not answer your question but it is interesting to review the spread of the name in Netherlands in 1947 when there were 54 FUITs and again in 2007 when the numbers had swelled to 56.
