Dear JewishGenners:

The May 24, 2022 edition of the Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza carried a legal notice announcing that the Regional Court of Central Łódź [Sąd Rejonowy dla Łodzi-Śródmieścia], Third Civil Division, at the request of the State Treasury as represented by the Mayor of Łódź,  is seeking the heirs to the following individuals:

Luzer or Lejzor ZELMAN, born 1879 in Skierniewice, put to death October 31, 1940 in the Treblinka death camp; and

Fajga Łaja ZELMAN, daughter of Bencjon & Dora, born 1875, put to death October 31, 1940 in the Treblinka death camp  

who were part-owners of a property on ul. Drewnowska in Łódź, designated ”Rep. hip. 1371, nr hip. 83.”

The Court calls upon any heirs to the above-named owners to contact the Court within three months of the notice’s publication; otherwise, the Court will release the property to the State Treasury and City of Łódź.

Anyone contacting the Court should make reference to the Court’s Docket No. III NS 253/22.
